A collaboration between studios Licorice and Noio, and published by Raw Fury, this IGF-nominated adventure originally released for PC and Xbox One back in 2015. The New Lands update adds a whole bunch of content to the original – new mounts, merchants, and isles – and it’s this version that’s landed on Apple TV. So all the original content plus the New Lands content, for the one purchase. Nice.

More great news is that it’s universal with iCloud saving, so you can continue your adventure seamlessly across your iPhone, iPad, and TV.

Gameplay for Kingdom: New Lands looks to be a mix of Kingdom building, RPG elements, and tower defence, with stunning pixel art visuals rivalling upcoming Children of Morta from Dead Mage. Children of Morta sets a pretty high bar for quality in pixel art, but Kingdom: New Lands is definitely a contender for the beauty pageant crown.

The official website is short on story details, but I’ve a feeling with this one that the less you know going in, the better.
