Pixelbite Confirms Space Marshals 3…Just Not Yet

That, pictured above, we’re assuming is the first mysterious reveal of Pixelbite’s next game, which, according to the aforementioned email, will “hit the stores in the second half of 2018.”

And that, is precisely everything we know about that.

So back to Space Marshals 3 then, which we know even less about.

Let’s face it, there are some excellent games available to soak up your playtime on the Apple TV platform, but it would be hard to argue that we’re drowning in options. The few truly console-quality titles on ATV really tend to stand out from the crowd, and  Space Marshals 2 is easily counted among that select few.

Pixelbite’s excellent shooter first appeared in our list of Three Apple TV Games You Need To Play That Require A Controller, then earned an honorary mention in this roundup of PS4 And Xbox One Games You Can Play On Apple TV With A Controller, finally getting a mention in The Best Apple TV Games Of 2017.

The best way to find out why Burton, Ava, and the rest of the crew aboard The Artemis made it into all these lists is to read our review right here.

But more of a good thing is a good thing right? We think so.

The Ava Storyline DLC released in November 2017, adding 10 new missions played through the perspective of Ava, bringing a different gameplay style and a set of new abilities and weapons to earn and upgrade. A free, 11th mission was added not long after, making for a bunch of quality gaming if you were to jump in as a newcomer now.

Which brings us back to the present day, and a third title in the series to look forward to. At this time there is no confirmation that Space Marshals 3 will even come to Apple TV, which will no doubt depend on how successfully the platform plays out from here. Hopefully Apple will start leaning its shoulder into the platform and start promoting it as a viable place to play. For more on that sort of noise, fearless leader of Astrogun – Xander Davis – had some very interesting things to say on the topic when we interviewed him late 2017.

Another thing we like to say here at ATVG is – when we know more, you’ll know more.

We also like to wish you safe planes and good whisky. So here’s to that.
