Whenever I’m forced to use the Siri Remote to control a game on the Apple TV platform, I feel as though I’m speaking a second language; muscle memories developed over decades of holding a traditional game controller can no longer be relied upon.
The Siri Remote’s small, lightweight nature feels ideally designed for its primary use – that of navigating Apple TV’s menus and consuming media – but for gaming it feels too insubstantial in your hands as an input device.
It’s a shame to encounter these two barriers when faced with what is obviously a game that’s had a lot of care and effort poured into it.
