Early Impressions: Forma.8 – Big Things, Small Packages

forma8-2

You guys are in for a treat. I’ve poured a few hours into Italian studio MixedBag’s Forma.8 for Apple TV, and can confidently report that this is an icon you’ll be very happy to have on your home screen.

In less than 24 hours it should hit the App Store for iOS and tvOS, and while I don’t want to say too much – as Forma.8’s mysteries are best uncovered by you, the player – I wanted to bring just a taste to the table. Enough to whet your appetite.

Head on over to page 2 for more.

Early Impressions: Subdivision Infinity

After spending Friday night fighting and mining our way through Subdivision Infinity’s first star system, getting some shut-eye and loading up on coffee, ATVG is back in the saddle to bring you our thoughts so far.

Published by Crescent Moon Games and developed by Mistfly Games, Subdivision Infinity is a premium game as opposed to free-to-play, so you probably want a heads up on how this 3D space combat title fares before separating with your iTunes credit.

Keep in mind before you do any spending, you’ll require a controller to jump into the action.

Early Impressions: Space Marshals 2 – Go Ahead, Make My Day

SM2_Banner_1220x300-1-600x280

With Space Marshals 2, Pixelbite has doubled its tally of twin-stick shooters available on Apple TV. The developer jumped on the new platform all the way back in late 2015, porting iOS shooter Xenowerk over to Apple’s digital-only console. The Space Marshals series then snuck onto the platform last week, making for a very welcome surprise going into the weekend.

Having jumped in and completed the first three missions of Pixelbite’s Sci-Fi Western, now seems like a good time to leave some very early impressions.

Be warned though, this story contains Space Pirates, and collectible hats.
